Reo-Coker On Loan?

Hang on before everyone says I'm completely mad. As it is Reo-Coker has handed in a transfer request at West Ham because he feels unwanted there. I am to understand that Curbishley highly rates Reo-Coker but the player wants a move.
If West Ham are keen on keeping him, although they have said they want £8m for him, how about Charlton offer to take Reo-Coker on loan for a season (or less)? And then if we come up we could probably have a go at signing him permanently (as we would have the necessary funds) or Reo-Coker could return to West Ham after the furore from the fans there calms down.
He is a huge fan of Alan Pardew, and likewise Pardew highly rates Reo-Coker. He'd get to play week-in week out and would provide us with everything we need - a midfield enforcer. He would be dropping a division but if Reo Coker wants to stay in London who else is he going to play regularly for?
Spurs? Probably not, Zokora is a better player. Arsenal? Possibly, but if Fabregas stays then he won't. Chelsea? No way, Fulham? Why go to a club that is relegation fodder?
He'd be dropping a division but it wouldn't harm his development as a player because if he joined us we'd piss all over the Championship and win the league by next March.
If Arsenal want Benty on loan surely it's perfectly reasonable for us to try and get Reo-Coker on loan? ;)
